Coosa Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 My last high water venture stuck a couple chatterbaits, ewg hooks, trailers for the chatterbaits and a few swimbaits in a Ziploc bag. All I needed for that trip. Only lure I use regularly that I don't recall seeing mentioned is a rattlebait. Awesome lure for river fishing . I agree on the rattlbaits. In my opinion they also get the most double hookups
Gavin Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Kinda a high & muddy thing with the rattle traps and red eye shads? Never had much luck with them when low and clear, plus they get hung a bit more than I like. Always have a few though.

joeD Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 The only sure fire bait for smallies are live minnows and live worms. And a healthy disrespect for rules and the law. Smallmouth fishing in Missouri suffers because of it.
