Jim I have been tying a ton of them this year, I have a good friend in Mass that is using them for striper and other friends around the country using them.

This is my most popular one.

Its a double hook rig and pulsates in the mid section when paused and when swimming it has great motion.

Fin thats the most realistic jig i.ve ever seen. Hats off to you its a piece of art not just a lure!!!!!!

Jim, do you make spinner baits? I have a friend that loves them for night fishing, but doesn't like the heavier gauge wire in use today. He used to get the thinner gauge wire spinner baits from Rogers baits in Lamar, but cant get them anymore.

He used to get the thinner gauge wire spinner baits from Rogers baits in Lamar, but cant get them anymore. our single blade thumpers come in both a long arm and a short arm version. I prefer the short arms and both are made with .037 wire instead of .040. i made dprice a couple of them and i think he really likes them. Jim Loven wants to carry them at sportsman factory outlet as soon as papi gets caught up on the ned rig orders for them. i've been building the spinner baits so papi can focus on the Lew's order. I'm almost caught up ive only got 16 to assemble and hopefully finish them tomorrow.

yes I believe it is. Papi was telling me at the shop yesterday that he used to tie them when he had his first business going some twenty five years ago that feathered bucktails are very difficult to tie and only one of his employees and himself could tie them. Back in those days he had jigs in the brown derbies in Springfield and Wal Marts.

.

I found a glue though called called Liquid Fusion they sell at Hobby Lobby that is about the best stuff I have ever used. It is a Urethane based glue that can be thinned yet dries water proof. When thinned it slows down the set up time. I soak the hair with it just before I make final wrap. Then wrap the thread over the glue. Then paint the binding with it full strength after it dries. Very strong

I just started making them again this year after many years away. I liked to played around with different things but returned to just making the the standard buck tail jig with a baby brush hog as a trailor. Simple, easy amd very effective.
