No but he just means you're not gonna get a lot of quality bass doing it.

In that particular tournament. That doesn't speak for all. By no means would I choose to use 6lb line for that but those Hibdons get it done. I've seen them do it up north for smallies too.

Really the little rig is fundamentally a horizontal presentation. At 40' or so fishing vertically just becomes more efficient. To fish that deep you could bump up to the 3/16 head. It's a terrible idea in shallow water, but has its place for deeper work.

You don't have a problem maintaining contact at 40+ with the 3/16? 6lb line I assume?

Debatable. Lots of good bass have been snatched out of docks on TR on line lighter than 25# blue stren and baits smaller than 10" worms.

Losing contact is the general idea. Less feel=more bites. Extra weight would just be to get it deeper faster.

Ok. So even at that depth you'd be comfortable not feeling it and knowing how far you are moving it when you do? You'll have to bare with me on wrapping my mind around that because I'm used to throwing a football jig in that situation like most.

And fishing for checks is the only reason to put the boat in the lake?

For Gete and Dion? Yeah pretty much, unless they're running low on crappie fillets.

If that is what you do for a living.

My guess is the butthurt whiners have either tried it and can't get results that others are or they just don't want to try something different and would rather gripe and moan about it.

What really cracks me up is before it was the a rig and now at the complete opposite end of the spectrum a tiny worm has a disgruntled few with their panties wadded up and wedged up high. It's borderline comical to see people be upset over a fishing lure lol. Especially the ones that are shall we say more "seasoned" and "wiser" than so many others.

Nobody here gets as upset as you do.

Some guys here simply state it's over-hyped and a couple here seem to think you are an idiot if you don't throw the rest of your equipment away and use only the Ned.

It's only when you inject your internet badassery that the discussion always turns to a 4th grade level.

I don't know anyone that has graduated high school that still continues to use the term "butt hurt" as much as you.

Does you mother know that you like to play Keyboard Cowboy on her computer?
