LittleRedFisherman Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 The river was crazy as expected today, and the water was stained due to the recent rains, but got a chance to take my son smallie fishing for the first time! With the advice I've gotten on here in the past, we would fish awhile, then pull up to a gravel bar and play in the water, then fish again. The fishing wasn't stellar, but we scratched out a few fish, and my son landed this one in the video finally, hooked and caught on his own, after I was trying to get him to fish some boulders I was casting towards, he insisted on casting in the middle of the river...lol, then caught this! Great day on the river, and a happy dad, I think he's hooked! Hope all of ya'll on here had a great 4th! MOsmallies, Mitch f and Ccox1982 3 There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
