If the trout know whats good for them they will take a right when they hit TR and swim towards Beaver as hard as they can.

Lol, Nah Man, I haven't fished the Beaver tail water in a decade of more. I live 10 minutes away from multriple access points of the White and Norfork rivers. I have very easy access to lots and lots of trout water. Beaver is > 2 hours away from me.

I like Ham's idea. The bass and walleye love silver side rainbows.

I'm hoping we can get through Cassville Thursday evening on the way to the cabin! I'm half joking but if it rains Thursday I'd think it will come up that much quicker. I guess I may have to look into a long route to Eagle Rock.

you live over in an area that i have roots in. my mom is from mountain home. the baxter county hospital and all the doctors offices are built on their old farm. i have tramped and killed many quail on that very ground. i have caught many bass and bluegill out of the pond in the bottom down below the hospital. my granddad's house there on 5 did have a real estate office in it for a while, and last time i was down there noticed that it has some medical something in it now. town used to just butt up to the farm, but it is now part of town. i can remember when the only pavement in mountain home was on the square. many places where we used to quail hunt are now covered over with asphalt and buildings. i would suppose that quail hunting there is like it is here, only memory. there is just not any cover or food for them any longer.

I think another factor that has led to the demise of quail, rabbit and even turkey populations is the proliferation of predators like foxes, raccoons, etc. No one seems to hunt or trap these guys anymore, so they are free to procreate at will and plunder the nests and young of others.

believe it or not but turkeys are quite hard on the quail population. they love quail eggs and are very adept at finding them. hmmmm?? wonder if one could train a turkey to find bass?? :have-a-nice-day:

There is already a turkey finding plenty of bass near Kimberling.
