WeekendWarrior Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 boat ran aground Friday night in niangua arm
nomolites Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 I've seen a number of those over the years; they are still amazing to me. I've made a wrong turn or two at night before GPS but never come close to doing that! Mike
fishinwrench Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Brand new boat, and inexperienced operator. I feel bad for the girls that trusted his ability, I hope they recover enough to rape his insurance co. and then kick him square in the nuts. If you aren't sure where you are, or where the shoreline is.....STOP MOVING FORWARD! mixermarkb and WeekendWarrior 2
Old plug Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 I have seen one or two of those things also Wrench ---- Do do you remember that Basin Bandits night tournament when that guy in the club and his wife hit that island and the mouth of North Buck Creek. He was going al out full tilt. The boat flew thru the air turn upside down throwing both of them out and crashed. They were super lucky they survived much less not hurt.

fishinwrench Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Yes I remember. He couldn't get a drivers license because he was basically blind, but for some reason we thought nothing of him operating a bass boat at night. Not one of my proudest moments as a tournament director. Live and learn.
brother dave Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Makes you wonder I shop at the outdoor grocery store
WeekendWarrior Posted September 6, 2015 Author Posted September 6, 2015 Yet another one from this weekend parking his boat on a wave break
fishinwrench Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Maybe, but 8000 boaters that were way drunker than THAT GUY made it safely back home without incident. I'm thinking that if nobody ever drank another drop that there would still be boats running into other boats, boats running aground, and people still getting hurt and killed occasionally. So having an accident while your buzzed doesn't really mean your accident was BECAUSE you were buzzed. Everyone was buzzed last weekend and all but a few did just fine. Glass half full.
