Members Mike Chamber Posted September 19, 2015 Members Posted September 19, 2015 I am fairly new to white bass fishing, but they are a lot of fun to catch. If anyone would share a little info I would appreciate the help. I have a boat and can travel around the lake. I was at CC today and only caught 5 with no real pattern LOGROG 1
Lifes2Short Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 I was up on Tuesday and was on the lake over 8 hours out of Mutton Creek. I fished from Mutton and on up into the trees in Sons Creek. We had 13 bass and 2 eyes. It was pretty breezy all day and we kept thinking we would find some whites but none were to be found??? Out of the fish we caught only one bass measured. I keep thinking it's going to turn on but it's slow on getting here. Most of the bass came on deeper channel swing banks on senkos and shakey heads. Headed back up tomorrow and am going to concentrate on the lower lake. Water was still 76 to 78 degrees. The White-Bass mystery continues........
Dutch Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 I was in the Little Sac on Thursday. We caught over 2 dozen blacks on spinner baits and worms but didn't have a keeper. They were anywhere from 2-20' deep. I took an hour off and fished for whites on the windiest banks I could find. Zip///nada.
straw hat Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Just a note to let you know that we stopped by CC (Greenfield Landing). Water temperature 74. Saw a couple small whites caught as well as a couple small crappie but not much doing.
jmes Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I was up there on Saturday, I was fishing for Blacks but ended finding some white, There where down near Birch Branch on the flat in about 5 feet of water Not a lot but I caught around 10 or so and moved on, All on a spinnerbait

tho1mas Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Give it another 2 weeks seems like I do the best in Oct. And wind + 10 mph for 24 hours ( same direction ) works for me.
Dutch Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 I was back in the Little Sac yesterday. I saw a few fish surface in the Master's Area but they never stayed up for more than a few seconds. I was also in the Mutton Creek area on Wednesday and saw no surface action at all.
Members Mike Chamber Posted September 27, 2015 Author Members Posted September 27, 2015 Found them, My buddy and I put in at CC and went up sac side where river splits. Double limit on Friday and almost the same on Saturday. Thanks for input
waterpossum Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Talked to Dale, who owns Southwinds Motel at Ruark yesterday and he said they were surfacing on the flats across form Mutton Creek
