WeekendWarrior Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 had a buddy down to help unload about 10 brushpiles and then get a little fishing in preparing for the BBB. We ended up with 5 keepers with 2 good ones throwing bottom baits. Was surprised to see several bass boats out early on a Wednesday MOsmallies 1
fishinwrench Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Which check-in spot are you gonna fish near ?
WeekendWarrior Posted September 24, 2015 Author Posted September 24, 2015 we have 2 boats of us fishing from glaize to dam so either alhonna or PB2. Hopefully have something to check in ?, been spotty for the big ones for me. One boat will fish glaize to shawnee and other from shawnee to dam is the game plan. We are all splitting any money if we are lucky enough to weigh in. Tourney can be frustrating at times finding a bank you really want to fish and there are 2 boats sitting on it ?
fishinwrench Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 It has been over a month since I've caught a 4+ pounder......So I'm not sure if I want to fish it or hang around the shop and make money THAT way. I made over 4k last year during the bash weekend.

Seth Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 A buddy and I are going to do this BBB. Looking forward to it. I've never actually targetted bass on LoZ, just crappie and catfish, so hopefully I'll have some beginners luck on hand.
Mitch f Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Be prepared to take a number fishing coves....2000 boats "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
nomolites Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 I fished it Spring '14 and there were too many boats with poor manners out there for me; been on the water fishing for walleye during a couple others and same same on the behavior. Fish open water and you will have little competition as the glitter sleds are going to be in the backs of the coves with the young shad. Mike C ark 1
conorsixtakc Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 WeekendWarrior and Wrench you guys are killing me with these toads you got dialed. I'm hoping for just one good weekend down there in between BBB and Thanksgiving. There's been some good smallmouth to be had west of KC, but it just isn't the same as those brushy green fish :) nomolites, Seth and Mitch f 3
WeekendWarrior Posted September 25, 2015 Author Posted September 25, 2015 The lake is a whole different lake during the week now, only have to slow down for a big roller once in a while, weekends are a different story. Bring on a major cold snap and the weekends won't be to bad either. Can't wait for the buzzbait bite to really pick up, last year it was getting good and had 3 days in the teens and 20s and killed it.
