Fishing or working?

Working!    I learned a long time ago that if you take a guys money by beating him fishing then you're an A-hole.  But if you take his money by fixing his boat you are a HERO.   And the odds that someone who you routinely beat on tournament day will bring his boat to you when it needs fixing is slim to none.  I think it's a pride thing.

So I either fish competitively OR I make my living as an outboard tech.....Trying to do both is a bad business choice.    

Too darn many awesome fishermen out there these days, and I'd much rather take their money by working on their boats than TRYING to beat them fishing. . It's easier that way.

WeekendWarrior and Wrench you guys are killing me with these toads you got dialed. I'm hoping for just one good weekend down there in between BBB and Thanksgiving. There's been some good smallmouth to be had west of KC, but it just isn't the same as those brushy green fish :)

Connor you are killing me, big smallies like that and you want to come to LoZ.  Everybody has their preferences though. A few buddies and I are tentatively planning a trip to Melvern next fall to sample some of them smallies.

Connor,  when I first read your post I thought you were talking about west of Kimberling city on table rock, but now looks like maybe you mean west of Kansas City for those small mouth. Is that Melbourne? I had one over 6 pounds there about 10 years ago. Just got back from Lake of the Ozarks and I noticed you had said we should hook up on another post, I would really enjoyed going fishing with you sometime down of the Ozarks.
