Members olbasser Posted September 24, 2015 Members Posted September 24, 2015 Fished from Viney to mouth of Kings today. Since the last month has been a real fishing drag for me I wanted to give my waypoints one last try before starting over again. Plan was to check each waypoint, fan casting. No fish then eliminate waypoint and start over. Low and behold they are paying off again. Caught at least 2 fish at each mark with a total of 20 or so. Not anything big but nice K's and LM. Caught on watermelon red paddle tail swim bait and swimming a jig, all in that 15-20 range. Interesting thing about jig wasn't color but seemed to like trailers with long pincers rather than short. Water clarity is better ( 5+ ft). Temp running 77/78 degrees. Squirrel Fishin', 5bites, Muddy Water and 2 others 5
Quillback Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 I was out there today, probably saw you but didn't know who it was. Did you get out early for the top water action?
5bites Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Good deal. Glad you had a good day. Here is a good reason for the long pinchers. It is laying on an iPhone 6 for size reference. Squirrel Fishin' 1

Bill Babler Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Some of the big boys around here have been on the HUGE CRAW for a couple of weeks now, and kind of keeping it on the QT with all the derby's and Fall fishing coming up. After the Open I'll post some pictures of the BIG baits we have been using. You will be amazed at the size. These bass right now mostly very nice Jaws are just inhaling them. If you catch one you can see pincers just as big and bigger than the one that 5bites posted sticking out of their gullet. Monday I had a great day, mostly on the RK crawler. I really struggled Tuesday and Wednesday. Yesterday we had one of those magical days putting a big 5er. in the boat and having 3 pounders in and on pretty much most of the day. Good Luck 5bites and Champ188 2 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Sprint21fter Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 My team partner got to go yesterday and he caught really well to, he said he easily had 16lbs. Largemouth and smallmouth mix in his bag. Said they bit steady all day. Go figures they always bite during the week, and change on the weekends. We have been on a very good bite lakewide for the last month since the water color is the same across the lake. Crankbaits have been doing most of the damage.
