Members Eric the awful fisherman Posted November 5, 2015 Members Posted November 5, 2015 Fished a tournament out at cape fair for the first time in a less than pretty 79' terry with a 115hp. Much smaller than most and got passed on the out side of a bend. Haha but we came in second so alls well that ends well. If it floats go fish on it. Champ188 1
Sprint21fter Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 The fish don't care what you have. Most tournaments require a minimum of 50hp and have working live wells. The addiction gets worse once you get the taste for it! Good luck.
fishinwrench Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 II used to fish T's on Lake O in a 16' SeaNymph w/30hp. Took some checks and was "angler of the year" 3 years running.... but also beat the rivets out of that boat and trashed it. It was a nice little boat that should have lasted 20 years. I destroyed it in 2.
David Unnerstall Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 I do believe I caught more fish in the 10-foot v-bottom I owned than either of my two bass boats.
