I've come to the realization that I have way to many flies, I guess I need to get hung up more and lose a few of them.

I have flies stashed in my pack, and in a few other boxes or containers that are always bouncing about, but those are the main boxes I may have with me on any given trip.

Like wrench said and then I would have to stand on the table elevated to get the picture of them to get them all in the photo. Too dangerous. Add to that Mrs. BilletHead would be stealing stuff out of my boxes. Oooh that one is pretty. I bet that would catch a fish :)

Every now and then I'll have a box that's nice and organized but that doesn't last long. Typically my fly boxes are in some state of chaos.

The Mrs. has so many stashed in the 5-6 boxes she carries it's hard to get an accurate count. She lost a a box that had all scud patterns in it so now she has pretty much the same flies-eggs,scuds, beads, etc in each box. If she looses one box,she can go to the next one and not be out of her favorite fly. Couple of guys showboating around her at Taneycomo were quizzing her on her gear. "No she didn't normally use an indicator and yes she had somewhere in the vicinity of 7-800 flies in those boxes." They backed out of the stream after about 15" and her having them down 3-1 on fish.

That's the way I do it.

How about we post pics of our fly tying areas?   I'll match anybody's chaos mess for mess.:excl:
