"gauges"

who's gonna watch these gauges so nobody steals them?

better make sure no one sees you doing this Ben

then there's the fact that once they are installed thieves will know  where they are so they can look for them and take them ..

JS mean people suck,  better hide them good

Fish 24/7... Good thoughts. Mean people do suck! Ha.

We've taken this into consideration, very much so. However, the commercial marinas where we'll have these initially (private docks will come in time to provide more thorough coverage of the Rock) have many things of value and I am sure they take reasonable precautions. Long story short, the majority of our units will be protected by whatever means a commercial dock uses. Without going into much detail, these will be pretty inconspicuous, really. if someone were to steal these, they'd be stealing gas, ice, and maybe a rental boat while they were at it...and would need scuba gear to get to it ;)

love the feedback though, keep it coming!

Ben, I received your reply to my personal message.  Good luck you are on the right track.  I wonder if there is some COE or other federal or state agency grant money available for this project.  Just a thought.

I've done *some* research on that thought...and it would likely come from the MDC. I'd have to show them that this data would be beneficial to fishery management.

The funding campaign link that's on here is more or less a good way to gain feedback from everyone. Sure, it'd be nice to get a few extra bucks, but as I said in the video, I'm moving forward regardless. Funding now would ensure a timely build out, but does not, by any means, discourage me from moving forward. I'm digging in hard at the moment and my goal is to have 5 units reporting real-time temps by the March 1st warm up, which is very realistic.....
