Went out with my good buddy Lou yesterday for some crappie. The bite was on as we had a double limit of keepers and caught over 60. We found them on bluffs next to timber in 10 to 20 feet of water. We used 1/16 ounce jigs in chart/white. WT was 55. We had 5 over 15 inches. Lets eat!!!!

I was funnin'. Kind of figured you were up the James somewhere. I'm just always amazed by folks who drive past LOZ, Truman, and Stockton to crappie fish at TR.

Congrats - that's a real rare deal you ran into there.  I've crappie-fished Tablerock Lake for many years and never yet had a trip where even half my catch was made up of Black Crappie, as ALL those are.  Usually about 4 out of 5 coming out of Tablerock are White Crappie, in my experience.  Nice bunch of fish!

I'm glad you posted this when you did Hughsey, changed my game plan and wound up with 5 keepers today, didn't find them like you did but had fun. Thanks again
