... took a short video of the water flow over the dam today ... while it is impressive ... our thoughts and prayers are with all downstream ...

Whoa!  Scared me when you said "over" the dam.  Awesome video.  So sad for everyone downstream.

Been posting on our Facebook page since all I have during the day is my phone.  My main computer is still in storage.  Posted One Cast from my sun room at the house.  It's a 7 foot drop but I have a good shot at the slow eddied water over our road.  No snags over payment!  And the fish are liking the slower current there.

The rainbows we're catching right now are VERY strong and nice looking.  Caught several 15 inchers and all are very fat.  This happened last flood- they're eating a lot of something.

There's been a TON of threadfin shad wash up along our bank in the eddies yesterday and today.  Had a few rainbow come up and slam them too.  I'm telling ya... although they're a pain, floods are good for fisheries.

The water is about 18 inches higher now than in 2011 so I knew 68,000 cfs was off, unless they were off in 2011.  Today they revised their estimates to 73,000 cfs which makes more sense.  So we are at our new high.

With Table Rock created and Beaver dropping/reduced flows, the Corp has said they are going to reduce flows tomorrow morning sometime here on Taney.  My dock- and our nieghbor's dock- will be glad.  I want to make a run up to the dam before they do - by car of course.  I've done the boat thing in 2011 and it was scary- even for me.  But I will be up there as soon as they drop it throwing - yes - a white jig.

It's going to be FUN the rest of winter!!!

Oh yea- remember the walleye in 2011....

We are so blessed... had an army of people helping yesterday, including a family who happened by vacationing from North Dekota. Again today putting stuff back in- and yes the family was back.

I am afrias this type thing  might come knocking at our door more than we want it to.

I have not looked this moning yet but I would not be surprised if they did not start closing the gate a bit. to be rushing water out of here the way they have been is certain to cause problems all the way to St louis an beyond. I sart of thing all of us in the reagion qre going to see a longer timecthat we like before the water receeds Now there is going to big bulg doming down the ill to add to waterever you got to dump out down there in Ark.

lIttle off subject but I watch the Earth quake patterns on MY RADAR. jus got to wonder how you boys slept out there in Okla last night. There was a whole lot of shaking going on out there yesterday..

Hope everything is getting better for you Phil with the lowering of the water.  Are they going to have to hold onto more water with everywhere else flooding and the worries about the Mississippi and the Missouri flooding?  Was planning a trip mid January but we are going to play that one by ear now.
