always keep in mind that a crank bait needs to stay in contact with the bottom as much as possible throughout your cast.

This is my biggest problem, cranking at 9ft above flood stage.

Im going back on friday, its supposed to be in the 50's following a good rain. (that doesnt seem right) Lost bridge to Rambo & back. Just pound the bluff ends & main lake pockets. I might even venture over to the campgrounds if that approach doesn't work. If the 3-4lb bass are biting up there, I will find one of them eventually.

Wouldn't be surprised if those guys weren't using a spinnerbait too. We got bit on one later in the day.

Cole slaw spinnerbait or Mouse?

just curious, because I have no confidence in spinnerbaits but I'm willing to try.

I was planning on a square bill to start out, then switch to a spinnerbait.

A finesse swimbait might work if the jigheads gotta weedguard. Maybe even the under spin

I'd be throwing white or chart/white with gold Indiana's or a single gold Colorado wheel. Maybe the white/chart willows too. Willows might be too fast.

My buddy was slow rolling a white spinnerbait along the bottom. That's how he got bit. He lost it on a snag and didn't have another heavy spinnerbait to use and the lighter ones just weren't getting the same result.

Yep. Now is the time for a 1/2 to 1oz bait that will stay down. Black with a big copper colorado is also good in cold muddy water. As in size #7 or #8. A veritable manhole cover.

If you are throwing a SB in the right places, it doesnt take long to get bit. Try a color and swap out in 30 minutes if it doesn't get bit or change locations. Right bait in right place gets bit early and often. The fish are seeing it.
