Eric82 Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 well i guess as long as its not too much rain next week...
DainW Posted March 2, 2016 Author Posted March 2, 2016 Yeah I think that's kind of the issue. It looks like it could possibly rain every day next week. Guess I'll just have to keep my eyes glued to gauges....I'm wondering does Little Piney clear faster than some of the surrounding rivers due to it's size?
Eric82 Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 From my experience yes it does. I was out there a week after the floods this winter. Was still pretty high and off color but fishable to me and i caught fish. So as long as we don't have a repeat of that i think you will be good. HAHA
DainW Posted March 14, 2016 Author Posted March 14, 2016 Ok just got back to Oklahoma City. Fished the norfork and the white Friday, then the little piney and current river blue ribbon section on Saturday. Had a great time and got lucky on the weather. Thanks everyone for the advice in planning the trip Eric82, trythisonemv and Deadstream 3
Eric82 Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Nice!!! Looks like you had some luck at the the LP. How was the water?
DainW Posted March 14, 2016 Author Posted March 14, 2016 The water was pretty good. Kind of had a greenish tint to it from the rain, but still pretty clear. Didn't get to fish it as long as I would've liked though, so I only hit the first couple holes down from the parking lot. Definitely want to go back and devote a whole day to fishing it. Eric82 1
DainW Posted March 14, 2016 Author Posted March 14, 2016 No that's Nathaneal Ferguson. I think he sometimes does some trips out of two rivers though. He did a great job we had a good time. Would recommend his services.
DaddyO Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Nathanael Ferguson will be speaking at our Tulsa Fly Fishers meeting in April. He's a great guy and can be reached via his FB page for Ferguson Flyfishing https://www.facebook.com/FergusonFlyFishing/?fref=ts DaddyO We all make decisions; but, in the end, our decisions make us.
