I haven't tried a sabiki rig yet, but have a couple and will try them some point in the future. I think that they will work well for shad and minnows. I wouldn't be surprised if you could catch trout on them as well.

I'm sitting at largemouth bass, white crappie, white bass, wiper and gizzard shad.

Yessir, 8" long and swatted at a Red Eye Shad.

Since my last update I added the greenside darter, carmine or rosyface shiner, Ozark minnow, and on Sunday caught a sand shiner in Perche creek.

As this photo shows the sand shiner is pretty nondescript silver minnow. I didn't find any johnny darters or logperch that are found in this creek.
