Unimog Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 I haven't had real good luck with optimas over the years in both automotive and marine applications. I got I think two and a half years out of my group 31 blue top before it went bad.. I've had a single 24v lithium pro trolling battery for a couple years now and so far it's working great. Probably not worth the cost but it seems to work and I noticed the weight reduction.
Stockton Lake Guide Service Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 optima blue top! been having same trolling motor batteries for 4 years, and they get used 250 times per year. I can''t find anything that can beat them at the price. cmac auto repair has them in lamar, as well as interstate. Or you can buy them thru amazon, but if you have an issue, they justsend out another one. don't go cheap!! it will kill you later, the ones i purchased were about 430 for 2 batteries, they sell at orielly for 299 each, plus exchange, and tax. zarraspook and blacknoseddace 2 Bob Bennett Stockton Lake Guide Servicehttp://fishstocktonlake.com 417-637-BASS"Our Service is Crappie" ”And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 Orielly superstarts have let me troll 7 hour continuously pulling cranks last year when the high was 27. 80lb thrust. They lasted a year and then started dying after two hours this year... took them back at 1 month out of warranty and they gave me new ones. good customer service, doubt i will buy them again though. Im on board with just buying new batteries frequently but i want them to last at least two years
Ketchup Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 With the mindset that I'm replacing batteries after 2 years no matter what, I just replaced all 3 last week with Energizer from Sams. Good price and after reading reviews online, I'm pretty confident they will do me good til the spring of 2018. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
dprice Posted February 24, 2016 Author Posted February 24, 2016 I bought another set of 31 series ever starts mostly for the ability to be able to warranty them in several places how ever they had blue top optimas at oriellys in republic for 100.00 a piece - old shelf dates they said if anyone is interested in those. Ask for Donnie just pass that info along as seemed like a good deal appreciate. All the advice especially saving my charging system from damages Dprice priceheatingair.com
Unimog Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 For what it's worth I've had a stealth 1 charging system since 2011 with no problems with my charging system. I think it works well especially when a power outlet is unavailable for charging overnight.
dprice Posted February 24, 2016 Author Posted February 24, 2016 Thanks unimog I'm still think that is a. Awesome accessory . I'll look into that brand. Where did you get it? Dprice priceheatingair.com
