I realize women with legions of shoes are commonplace, but considering I have two pairs of waterproof fishing boots, two pairs of Crocs and a pair of tennis shoes...I'd rather have the rods. Oh, I'm sorry. I lied. I have shoes for playing golf, too. Had the same pair of tennis shoes for eight years. lol Love the cartoon. Unimog Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 I have a few, probably 22 baitcasting combos for bass but don't take them all everywhere I go. If I'm coming down to Stockton or table rock I don't bring a frog setup with 65# braid or a flipping rod with 25# fluorocarbon. I generally don't keep more than 4 on deck and will leave baits and combos I'm not using in the trailer at the ramp. I reall don't like having a bunch of clutter if I can avoid it plus a bunch of rods out are likely to get stepped on. From one of my favorite movies. Quillback, Champ188 and mixermarkb 3

Members BiteMeBaits Posted February 8, 2016 Members Posted February 8, 2016 Just like John Rockefeller said when someone asked him how much money was enough. "Just a little bit more". Truth be told I don't have a lot of rods. I have probably 6 bait casters and 4 spinning setups. I usually keep one on deck for a spinnerbait, a crankbait, a jig, a top water, a tube/finesse, a fluke, and during the summer a fly rid for panfish if it gets slow.

In my 185 Ranger I usually carry 15-20 rods, but when I flshed the Bassmaster Northern Opens as a Co-Angler, I could only bring six and a medium sized tackle box. You really should be able to narrow down your selection depending on the seasonal pattern on the lake you are fishing. You can usually fish two or three different techniques using the same rod/reel combo.I'm planning at looking at some new rods and reels at BPS myself. Thinking of picking up the Lews Super Duty that Bill Babler recommended for an A Rig set up. Ham 1
