Terrierman Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 What a great presser. An amazing physical specimen who is no dummy with the mental maturity of a 12 year old. I'm surprised he wasn't coached up better for that. Rivera gets some of the credit for this one for not prepping him better for what everyone knew was coming.

BATCAB27 Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 I thought it was kind of nice to not have to listen to some "politically correct" postgame speech. The ol' "they were the better team today" speech you hear all the time. Cam got his butt whipped and he wasn't happy about it, nor should he have been. Im no Cam Newton fan at all and he could have handled himself in a more professional way, but the dude was pissed off because he just lost the SUPERBOWL and I have no problem with him wearing his feelings on his sleeve.
Flysmallie Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 I think these interviews, especially post game interviews are stupid. Nobody is ever going to give you a straight answer or show you their true feelings. Because when they do everybody dog piles. Can you remember one good thing ever said at a post game interview? Anyone? But everybody remembers one they consider being bad. It's just a bunch of pointless questions, asked by pointless people who are pissed off when they get a pointless answer. Norm M Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 If I had just lost the championship game at the highest level I could achieve in my career , I wouldn't want any one in my face asking questions . If I had just won the same game, I wouldn't want any one in my face asking questions . In one case what can you say , in the other , get out the way jack, the party is about to start . what a long strange trip it's been , put a dip in your hip, a glide in your stride and come on to the mother ship , the learning never ends
Terrierman Posted February 10, 2016 Author Posted February 10, 2016 It's something they have to do - NFL requires it. I get not liking losing. I don't get acting like a whipped kid in front of the world. Mitch f 1
holleybob Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Cam definitely lost points with me after the game but I'll say this, he answered the questions he was asked and furthermore he didn't say things that he could have said like: "My O line could not hold", "the play calling was not aggressive","my receivers dropped balls that hit them in the hands", "the refs should have called Talib off sides". Let's remember too that he's 26 years old. Hopefully he'll learn how to better present himself in the future. As far as whether the NFL should have post game interviews, this is a ratings game guys! The NFL does not give a rats azz what is said, they want the rant, the pout, the fist slam. Those things keep the ratings high and the money rolling in. Google best NFL rants.. they are all post game settings. They've got to miss Herm Edwards and Ditka !
