I'll post some pictures up later.... Those are just the regular old new production original warts. They made a big deal of adding "original" all over the packaging and ads after the pitchforks and torches came out. They are for sure better than the poop-tastic reworked baits they peddled for a year or two, but not original. Lot of the wart colors are matte now. Tim might have some idea as to why. It's not because people are happy with them. abkeenan and mixermarkb 2
abkeenan Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Wired2Fish came out with this yesterday. Shows some of Tim's work in the "BPS Exclusive" line of Wiggle Warts. Buzz, Hughesy, Quillback and 1 other 4
dtrs5kprs Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 You can really hear the "tinny" sound of the new rattles in that video. Wow. big c 1

Quillback Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Go get 'em 176. With the stained water, I'd probably start with that middle one in your pics. Do you have a lure retriever? Speaking for myself, I have to break out the ol' retriever at least once or twice a day when throwing cranks on the Rock.
176champion Posted February 13, 2016 Author Posted February 13, 2016 No Sir, i have no lure retriever i have been hung up several times as well as my partner(son) we have been lucky about getting lure back by backtracking the boat in the other direction...lol.....also how do those lure retrievers work in trees?? i lost my best 1.99 lure in a tree once....lmao I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! There are the "pokers" which are telescoping rods with a pig tail on one end. Wrap your line through the tail and literally poke the bait loose. They work well, but are awkward at times, have a limited depth, and you have to be right over the bait. Sometimes that isn't possible. Other type is the "knocker", hound dogs, spark plugs, you name it. Basically those have a way to attach to your line, and you send it off into the deep to knock the bait free. Some should be attached to cords so you can get them back (an old spincast reel with 80# braid works). Some are cheap enough you just send them in with best wishes. Knockers will also work on some jigs and rigs. I carry both. There are some cranks I would never send a knocker after for fear of breaking a lip or a balsa body. There are some goofy looking deals that have chains all over. Chains are supposed to grab the hooks. Have always thought they might grab the hooks, and still stay attached to the tree. Others may have info that is better.
SplitG2 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Matt Allen,Tactical Bassin, has a good video on line showing the types of retrievers and how to use them.

Works on wood. Daiwa makes something similar, TW carries it. A lot of guys put these on one of those retractable dogleash deals, or mount them on a cut down rod. http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-EZ-Lure-Retriever-Kit/product/52869/ I just watched Honey Hole Outdoors today, wouldn't you know it, Bill Wilcox got a deep diving crank hung up, he used a 2 oz teardrop sinker, attached it via a swivel to his line, let it drop and banged it a while on his lure and worked it free. Bad thing about that set up is if you're lure doesn't come off, your out another $1 for the sinker.
