I really liked their square bill crankbaits, especially the matte firetiger that catches them in muddy water after floods. I've seen a couple rattle baits on eBay selling for $20. Booyah will keep making the rattle bait though. The booyah A jig is no longer available. It was one of the best living rubber jigs that I've fished. Has living rubber lost its swagger? Last I checked the big bass were really fond of it. While on the jig subject, uncle josh no longer makes pork frogs due to the price of pig fat. Whatever, people quit buying them. I'm kinda old school & I love discontinued lures. As they appreciate quickly on eBay. So I plan to stock pile these items. I caught my very first winter bass on black & blue pig n jig, #11 pork frog.

They still sell them on Tackle Warehouse but everyone complains about the quality and lack of getting the quantity they are supposed to get. Bottles being short a trailer or two.

yes, but once they're sold out they won't restock them. Plus, I know the pigs are hard to keep from turning into pork rinds.

As for the rubber jigs, I could buy the mop jig. But I would rather learn how to tie living rubber myself. Another garage hobby, you know.

"Unfortunately, in mid-December of this year, word began circulating that Uncle Josh would no longer be producing pork rind baits. The issue, explained a company representative, is that Uncle Josh has been unable to get the quality fatback they need to produce durable pork baits. These days, pigs are brought to slaughter at 6 months old, rather than 2 to 3 years old, which means the skin and fatback are thinner and no longer suitable for fishing baits. There is still Uncle josh available for purchase on their website, and at tackle retailers throughout the Northeast. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. Just be sure not to let your remaining pork rinds dry out on the hook."

I bought a couple of their jerkbaits 7/8 years ago at Trader Bills in Hot Springs and broke off the bills on both of them in the first 30 minutes, so much for my Ouachita trip. I never bought another product form Excaliber from that point on.

The Fat Free shad was originally produced by Excalibur, then it was moved over to Bomber. Once the SK 6XDs rolled out, it kinda saturated the Fat Free shad market. It's marketing 101 & PRADCO did a poor job at that. Word is they will stop producing the Fat Free shad this year if sales don't pick up. It makes you wonder if PRADCO is in deep financial trouble. It doesn't help that quality control isn't to good. PRADCO was a very good conglomerate of brands for years. It just seems like Strike King has beat them at their own game.

They have a big enough stick to keep buying up bait companies. Other than the FF, couple of topwaters, and some square bills, there wasn't anything that made them stand out.  The sticks were an attempt to get into the pointer market. Far from the same quality.

Rubber is easy to tie, if you have some patience. Fastest way on a big jig is to use wire.

Maybe there's a youtube video for tying rubber jigs. I need to get started because that shallow dirty water jig bite is right around the corner.

If you are going to scrounge, now is the time. I like their square bills a bunch because I've caught fish on them and got most of them on markdown at Bass Pro Shops. I still have some new in package square bills if you want them. I'd make you a kinfolk deal. I have too much stuff.

Last time I looked, Land Big Fish still had pork and those hard baits.
