I'm almost out of craws and I'm freakin.  I think Mitch has a plan To  make them very available soon.   I won't feel comfy unless I am sitting on a hundred.  Even though I fished for 2 hours today with one!

Yep I feel the same way Hog Wally....I just got off the river with Hog Wally and the water is getting  warm  fast!! Hog Wally  was just picking  off 17 inchers with the crawl like he was super natural today ....he even looked super  natural  in this pic :)

This front is bringing in a good bit of warm rain. Should see the temps continue to climb because it doesn't look like air temps will be dropping much at all this week.

It's fixing to all be shut down  this rain will hose it up.  It sucks cause I seen a giant Smallie chase a spot I had on my line and even after waiting an hour to try for him he wouldn't bite.  I wanted to go back tomorrow.  I've caught a pile of 17"s in last two weeks.  Where the crap is my 20.

They're certainly not a magic bait, I use them a bunch because they are what I'm used to. I just think fish can get tired of looking at a standard jig and pig somtimes.

Mitch, I've been fishing the big and meramec for 33 years, besides using live craws, the combination of your jig head and your craw is by far the best thing that has come along for me.  Yesterday  a guy was working on his boat ramp by me and I could literally feel a fish pick up my craw and I had time to tell him to watch this   Then I would lay into the fish and every time I reeled in a nice Smallie. It happened 6 times in a row. Once they find it, it's all over but the battle. I'm a bit of an egotistical guy but I have to say when I use the craw I know I'm gonna catch big fish. Big to me is over 16".

Yep, Mitch has a real winner with that craw and his jig heads.  I fished it off and on all day Friday and Saturday, and although it wasn't a day when fish were eating stuff like jigs, whenever I tried it I caught a fish or two that may not have hit the crankbaits that were working well...I was always fishing it in a good spot AFTER I'd dragged a crankbait through it.  As I think I said in another thread, I wasn't sure about the whole idea when Mitch was talking to me about it--I'd seen a lot of supposedly realistic plastic crawfish that were stiff and didn't look good in the water.  But Mitch came up with a far better mousetrap, so to speak.  This thing looks exactly like the real critter when you move it.  The pincers wave just right and it stays right side up whether sitting on the bottom or moving through the water...and it is so realistic that several times I happened to glance down at one I'd taken off because it was getting torn up, lying in the bottom of the boat, and thought, "Hey, where did that crawdad come from?"
