Foghorn Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Several years ago there was the plan to stock 100 browns a month in zone 1 but it evidently didn't last very long. Those fish that might have possibly survived that idea would have been a lot of fun to fish for.
trythisonemv Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Three year a ago dad caught a 4lb Brown fromzone three and if you get down to Barclay you'll catch them. When I was a kid we caught a lot of Brown's from zone two and three. Susy hole always held some and still does from time to time. It would be nice. If they would stock more. laker67 1

I guess I'll have to give it another go this year since they have a new guy on board. Pete Pete, it is already showing improvement just since this guy took over in august. Numbers and size are up. Lots of little fish that escaped, but not put in on purpose as before. Prior to this flood there were good numbers and good fish with a few lunkers thrown in. I think it will only get better with time.

Browns in the upper end would have had a lot of sanctuary water to grow big and ugly and with a mean attitude. Johnsfolly, Foghorn and trythisonemv 3
Members reddon30 Posted March 7, 2016 Members Posted March 7, 2016 Went with the family this weekend and we pulled quite a few brown out. Only one was legal limit, but it was nice to pull in and show my kids a brown. Once they caught one, they would get excited every time they got another. The size of fish varied greatly (due to escapees from winter flood I am guessing. Also a good amount of Google Eye, which my girls loved catching. laker67 1
