You kicked my butt Quill. I had 4 short spots. One might have kept, might. I was poking around the white from the Kings on up, trying to do a little looking for the Joe Bass on Saturday, as I'm a bull shoals guy. Was my first time on the white river arm of the rock, I've put in at State Park the other 3 times I've fished it.

If you saw a light gold and black champ with a 225 and a clueless looking guy bumbling about, that was me. 

Oh, and what I managed to catch came on the Jerkbait, chunk rock channel swing stuff. Did some looking in the backs, no casting. It's a long boat ride up there from Kimberling.

I was desperate, LOL.  But, I had been reading so many reports of people getting them shallow that I had to give it a try.  As I was easing back in there, I started seeing some shad, so I thought there might be a good chance for some bass to be in there, but lately I have seen the shad in cove backs and not gotten a bite.  But yesterday they liked that little Balsa shad.

Cheese, the water is still a well stained green color, hasn't changed much in the last couple of weeks.

I saw the same thing on Saturday and tried it too but no takers. I think I will keep a spinner bait tied on for a while. Thanks for the information.
