Members capndan
I have had my pin pulled twice this past year at Aunts Creek. Discovered one when I got home, it was about half inch from failing and would have been a disaster, thank the good Lord I live on top of Joe Bald. The second one I discovered before I left the ramp. I pull my pin now and put it where I am reminded to put it back before I take off. It is getting worse. I teach and coach and love working with kids but manners and down right decency are disappearing. I hate to say it but it is not just the generational thing anymore we are losing our way. So I encourage all of you to invest in a young person and do your best to make a difference!
Smithvillesteve
Hazbin: It was the ramp across from Turkey Mountain. There is a spaceship looking thing there. They are not golfers so dont look around any courses! Didnt touch my golf clubs. Took my clothes bag and some food. My truck was the only vehicle in the lot. Right after July 4th holiday. Thieves stole my buddies transom saver out of the back of his truck at Orleans Trail at Stockton last year. Some guy came back to his trailer at High Point at Stockton and his lug nuts were all missing on his trailer tires. Police told him they were probably stealing his tires when he pulled his boat in and scared them off. Story about that kid getting killed at the boat ramp a month ago was very sad. Point is we all have to be smart, be alert, help each other, report suspicious activity. Pretty sad that a guy gets an opportunity to go out and enjoy the outdoors, get away from the "rat race" and has to deal with this kind of crap!! Cajunangler
I hate to be stating the obvious but if you have any concern of someone pulling the pin that locks your hitch to the truck there is a very simple solution. Purchase a hitch pin with a lock. The cost is minimal but the piece of mind is priceless!! Nothing is foolproof when you're dealing with low life jerks but it should make it a little harder for them to ruin a good day of fishing. tho1mas
buckcreekmike
Why would someone steal the pin to your hitch? (I'm not implying that it didn't happen). That almost has to be someone's idea of a joke, a dangerous and sick joke, but I don't see why they would do that otherwise. That isn't going to bring much money at the recycler. m&m
I think it was the pin to the breakaway tongue of the trailer. Mike
Old plug
Sounds like you folks down there in paradice have a awful lot of thieves and vandells. I would bet a lot of it has to do with persons that do not like summer people.

mosouthpaw
Last few times I've been at emerald beach I've noticed some suspicious folks there. They aren't locals since the full timers there don't recognize them
