I'm a few days late posting but oh well....

Got to the dock around 330 with the wife and kids after 2 limits of trout at roaring river.  Instantly, as our poles hit the water it was on. You could see down about 5 to 10 feet and crappie of all sizes. Me n the Mrs couldn't keep up w our two poles so we took the practice lures off of our 4 yr old daughter and 2 yr old sons pole and fitted them with a slip bobber and a minnow. We told em if the Bobber sinks to reel til it get tight and pull like your trying to take a toy away from each other. They both caught one a piece before deciding the minnows were way easier to catch. Caught tons of smaller crappie and 5 worth taking home but had fun regardless. Around 5 they just shut off. You could still see them thick below the dock but wouldnt give my jig or her minnows the time of day.

Great stuff there. The kids will remember that day forever.

Chris, that sounds like a blast I envy you with the family.  Thanks for the report, made my morning.

Glad I could brighten someone's day. Kids did love it. Keep asking when we are going again.

Bill have "borrowed" a lot of info over the past year from several of your posts. Keep up the good reports and advice!
