Put in at 39 bridge with steady rain.  Hit bluffs and bluff ends up to big m and back. Water temp 48.9-52.6

Found fish in 8-14 fow and they were biting! Most fish came on hand tied 3/8 oz fb jig brown and red with watermelon critter craw trailer. Had 6 on a phantom red wart with 2 keeps. 13 on jig with 7 keeps. All blacks with 4 spots. Rain quit around 2 and so did the bite. Fish were picking up jig and swimming to deeper water, had to be a line watcher, and really concentrate. Had best trip this year so far.

Tight lines and CPR

Nice fish. Looks like you covered alot of water today. Was the bluff jig bite best while it was sitting on the ledges or as it was falling ?

Fish would pick up jig on fall or hop, very subtle bite. All but some shorts simply picked up jig and swam towards deep water. Lost 2 good ones to start, I was not focused. Then I concentrated on each and every cast, really made the difference.

Thanks, I love to hit the bluffs when they're hitting the jig or a worm. It seems alot of people pass the bluffs up.

Had the bluffs again to myself, it seems everybody's on chunk rock banks or 45% banks. Those banks get pounded this time of year so I try to do something different for less pressured fish.

Think a lot of folks give up on bluffs because it can take a long time to fish them, if you can't pinpoint sweet spots. Lot of fish never leave the big bluffs.
