awhuber Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Work has started on the new access road. It will be weeks before it is completed. The area is still open.
jdmidwest Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Looks like they are mowing things down to increase traffic flow on upper river. Not good. River is too small for float traffic up there. They should keep it down stream. I wonder if they will "improve" the worthless handicap access they spent alot of coin on several years back. awhuber Posted March 25, 2016 Author Posted March 25, 2016 They had to move the road because the old one was undermined. Not trying to increase traffic just trying to accommodate the traffic they have now. No plans to improve the "worthless" H.A.
Gavin Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Should have taken all that worthless concrete and the pit toilet out and replaced with nothing. Remember when that was a gravel road.
Greasy B Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Should have taken all that worthless concrete and the pit toilet out and replaced with nothing. Remember when that was a gravel road. They should add a few pot holes. snagged in outlet 3 and Gavin 2 His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. bikehikefish Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 When they were considering paving it in the '80s they asked our local TU chapter whether we thought it should be paved. Our preference was to leave rustic areas, well um, rustic. Gavin 1
awhuber Posted March 25, 2016 Author Posted March 25, 2016 Should have taken all that worthless concrete and the pit toilet out and replaced with nothing. Remember when that was a gravel road. All the concrete is going to come out. Gavin and Phil Lilley 2
jdmidwest Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 I remember a cold winter day, late in the afternoon, I used that old pit toilet. Unknown to me, the door was messed up, swelled from rust. I went in and closed it with a sound like a bank vault closing on me. On the way out, it would not open. I kicked the crap out of it and finally it busted free. I thought I was going to spend the cold night in that thing. I was stripped down to just jeans and a shirt going in. awhuber 1 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
