New to TR, Appreciate advice

Agreed in full, Cody. My motor stays in midrange more than it probably should, and Donna will vouch for that. I strive to remember to open it up once every 2-3 trips to keep the carbon blown out. And every now and then, there's a storm situation like the other day when it's nice to have 70 mph in reserve.

Champ will stretch it out when the water and boat traffic are right. It's fun when we get a chance to do that.  Most days, though, he runs at a more moderate pace and that suits me fine.  I like to look at the scenery and potential fishing spots as we go.

He forgot to mention his lovely wife and fishing partner of 22 years (April 2 was our anniversary) wasn't in the boat when he saw 70.4.  I'm sure lightening the load didn't hurt.  lol

Happy anniversary. Seeing you at the OAF tourney confirmed for me that you two are friends in addition to being spouses. My 47th is coming up April 18th and we were friends since grade school. Makes it kind of nice.
