Members Jim-to-fish
Heading down Wednesday with wife to fish out of new Skeeter. Have border lakes so can fish anywhere. New boat hasn't been out yet so break-in is no more than 2,000 rpm's 1st hour so what a better way than trolling learning gps and depth finder. Wondering if anybody had any suggestions for that area for the Walleye. Always in past trolled fire tiger shad rapps. New ways or area are welcome. I know Bassmaster tournament on Friday and Saturday. About 100 boats, but no where near as Big Bass Bash at LOZ with 2,400 boats. Thanks for help in advance. Looking forward to some good fishing and learning lowrance HDS-7 Gen 3 with side imagining. Little nervious with new boat as I'm going from 60hp to 200hp. Gradually do that as I will take it easy. mixermarkb
Walleyedmike
I've never fished Bull, so no help here. But post some pics of that new Skeeter for us all to enjoy Jim! WM mixermarkb
Members oodlesiggy
My best guess would be to fish the K dock area. Fish the channel edge during the daytime and move up shallower on the flats during low light times. dan hufferd
Members Jim-to-fish
I think K Dock is a little far away from Pontiac than I would ride. Thanks for the help anyway. I have a map and new depth finders with Gen 3 from Lowrance. I'll try like heck to find them.
Members oodlesiggy
Haha you're right! I didn't realize you would be clear on the other side of the lake!
Members Jim-to-fish
Yeah I just seen I didn't mention I was coming out of Pontiac Marina. Cating bass should be okay, but Walleye are a different breed. I know they like islands and flat rock areas. Caught them in Oakland area before. I just hope I don't get in way of Bassmasters or they don't get in my way trolling. Top Water should be hitting for bass which is a blast. Crappie should be better if I find them they should be together.
aarchdale@coresleep.com
a trip to kdock and back would about have that thing broke in. No better lake around to take a big joy ride like that. And i agree with walleyedmike. put some pics up of that new rig. I love Skeeters, i was looking at them the other day when i was buying part at Sport Boats USA. Those things are pretty much perfect
Members Jim-to-fish
I'll try to put some pictures on next week. Going to enjoy learning new depth finder. Can't think of better way than trolling, watching split screen with down imagining and sonar. I've used those fire tiger colored baits. Have some spoons. Will bass fish with arsenal of baits. Jerk bait bite might be off, but supposed to be cloudy next few day which should help.
