Alex Heitman Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 With the bass fishing not being up up to par yesterday, my dad and I decided to go after some crappie. We found some big slabs on minnows around cover. Big females that have not spawned yet. The one on the right was 17 1/2 inches. Would of let her go but she was very stressed and didn't think she would make it. It was a fun day and will be great eating tomorrow. A lot of the bass we have been catching have not spawned yet and I think there will be some big waves in the next coming days. Dam area has been tough fishing besides the smallmouth. Water is nasty. dan hufferd, Muddy Water, 96 CHAMP and 5 others 8
m&m Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Alex, thanks for leaving all the small fish for me to catch. lol Nice slabs.. Mike
abkeenan Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Nice report Alex. Maybe if the "nasty water" lasts a week or longer it will provide some cover for the spawning fish and make the task for bed snatchers a little more difficult. Champ188, Hunter53, dtrs5kprs and 1 other 4
