Muskie 5/10

Went to Busch this morning for a few hours and did some Muskie fishing. Didn't get any action on Muskie lures so I tried targeting them with bass lures and caught this guy.

Awesome animal, I was thinking of heading over to Bush's with my new 8 weight. How far off the bank were you. I don't have a trolling motor and would just wander along the shore casting out with streamers and poppers. What was the water clarity?

Thanks! The water clarity was very good I could see at least 3-4 feet down. It hit probably 35-40 yards off shore so not too far out, but probably too far to cast. I bet there are some shallower than that though

what type of bait were you throwing? im taking the kids up on friday to go crappie hunting. i need to try for a muskie one of these times.

I was throwing a swimbait. I have now caught almost every species in the lake on that bait!
