Fish24/7 Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 anybody venture out and have any good news to report? it sure was busy out there! I didn't go but I fished a couple times last week early in the morning . Found a pretty good spook bite back in the coves
rps Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 I love a good Spook bite. 1 to 3 hours, early. Does not matter. The best. Fish24/7 1
mojorig Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 We caught some good fish on topwater on Monday. Our best areas were deeper channel swings mid way back in the creeks. The smallmouth were pissed off. They would splash a lot at the topwater but rarely ate it. It was fun but frustrating!! Rob P Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 We had a number of blowups this past weekend where the bait sailed into the air. My sons were trying to get pics and video of the action. Nope. Very fun fishing. Fish24/7 1
Fish24/7 Posted June 1, 2016 Author Posted June 1, 2016 headed out around 6 went back to the same place I caught some last week in the back of a cove up the Theodosia arm . Parked the boat up against a bush and began fan casting the area. The water was more stained this time and they wouldn't touch the regular spook so I put on a chugging spook. Third cast with the chugger and it got crushed by a skinny 16" lm. Caught a few more small keeper lm and missed a few. Sun came out around 8:30 so I called it a day . Rob P 1
Rob P Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 This weekend I trolled at 20-25ft in 30-50fow, had 2 on brought in one fat spotted bass. Over the last month or so, the bass seem to like blue backed "fat-O" type crank baits running at <2mph. Summer trolling pattern in full swing. Sunday it poured, lightening kept us off the water. Will try again in a few weeks. Fish24/7 1
Fish24/7 Posted June 16, 2016 Author Posted June 16, 2016 Went with Ham last Sat. I'm pretty sure Ham had a 100 fish day . I didn't have my fish counter,, couldn't find it after the previous fishing trip so Idk exactly how many I caught. We fished early until about 1pm.. Found some topwater action. Caught spots,lm, and smallies. Gill fished the last part of the trip. It was one after another .. I had a great time with great company. mixermarkb, Rob P, mojorig and 2 others 5

Fish 24/7 is going to forget more about Bull Shoals than I'm ever going to know. We had some nice bass and a pile of various panfish. Thanks for the hook up on the Berkley oney Worms and the tip on drop shotting for panfish. It works too well. I finished up with 103. I would love to have stayed all day, but I had yard work that HAD to be done. I appreciated that Fish 24/7 was right on time and had everything he needed for trip in a very organized fashion. I usually bring way too much and as a result its a jumbled mess. I did go back early Sunday morning solo on the lower lake. I had a few more bass early and than a pile of panfish late. I quit about noon again. All the bass barfed up big threadfin shad. I think that the bass are feeding heavily on shad and that is slowing my bite. Regardless, my usual ways of catching fish that worked the last several years are NOT working this year. mixermarkb, Quillback, Fish24/7 and 2 others 5 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future.
