Fishing report 5/21/16

Fished 4 1/2 hrs 15 ft of water was best.  BB with crawler harnesses. Sister and I had 20 keepers biggest 19 1/2. 11 shorts

Wife and I got our limits today aswell.  Man is this lake a gem.  We have been having a blast.  Largest today was 19.  A lot of shorts to sort thru and find the keepers.  This fish are really agressive too.

Looks like when the MDC decided to stock annually it has really paid off . It's a testament that those fish excluding the 19 inchers were only 1-2' long in 2014 when stocked. The best estimate I have seen is that 90% + of the fish being caught are stocked fish.

The only thing I can say is I taught them everything they know. But I can't understand why they always out fish me.  We r really having a good ratio of keepers to shorts this year.  I have already caught more keepers than I did last year.  Last year we caught a ton of 13 1/2 to 14 1/2 inch fish.  So I figured there would be a lot of keepers this year. I kinda wish they would go to an 18 inch limit.

I just want to give a shout out to lmtout for being such a nice guy. I had the opportunity to speak to him last week at the boat ramp and he gave us some very valuable information. A lot of walleye guys are very hesitant to give up info. Not lmtout. Thanks lmtout.
