Members jattrout Posted June 25, 2016 Members Posted June 25, 2016 Waded yesterday (friday) below the dam. Started running water with no horns (2 units) people scrambling to get out. JUST BE AWARE OF ANY INCREASE IN FLOW, HEAD TO THE BANK BETTER SAFE THEN SORRY. The corps is going to get someone hurt if they don't change there ways
fishinwrench Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Take an Auto bilge pump switch, a 9volt battery, and a buzzer from Radio Shack (total cost=16.99) Hook the wires together and set it 3" from the water line. There, you have your own warning device. Stop depending on others for your own safety. You're a big boy now. ?
snagged in outlet 3 Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Great idea! I just keep an eye on a lone rock or stick or something. If it goes under I run.
laker67 Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Or you can do like Stubby Kyle, when your elbows start getting wet, it is time to leave for higher ground.
fishinwrench Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 You could wet wade knee deep. When that cold water hits your bag.....YOU'LL BACK UP. Lancer09 1
snagged in outlet 3 Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I prefer the word "sack". Either way you'll be crawdaddin for sure.
bfishn Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Wow, that throws a new light on the phrase, "It took a 20 lb sack to be in the money".... I can't dance like I used to.
