Did you have a chance to hit the lower access? I fished for the first time a few weeks back. Was wondering how much this heat and rain are affecting them

i fished tuesday in a thunderstorm. I caught tons of fish! Three of which were over fifteen inches. One was 18 " and put up a crazy fight. I fished lower access early and managed ten down there. Thats where the eighteen incjer came from. then moved up to the trestle bridge and walked down . I caught about ten more down there including the smallest trout ive ever caught. Ot was maybe three inches long. Also hooked into a real monster but barbless hook came unhooked and expletives flew.  All and all good day its always better when itrains and murks up the water. Prince nymph was killer and had a few on midges.

At the lower access, how far downstream do you go ?  Last month I hit some very deep & still water that I could not wade through.  Was wondering if I should have walked around it on the south (right) side to re-enter further downstream.

.2sheds, the water that i think you are speaking of isnt that deep. If you walkthe south edge against the bank. Unless you walked all the way down that grass trail which is way too far down. I walked about three quarters of a mile then cut throigh the woods yo the water. Im pretty sure that if you continue down the south sid edown there it gets skinny again about half mile down.
