Pointers for stockton lake

I just moved to stockton, missouri from Louisiana. I have always fished saltwater in Louisiana. I am looking forward to fishing Lake Stockton but don't have a boat. Any pointers as to where to fish without a boat and what to use would be greatly appreciated. Doesn't matter what kind of fish. Crappie, bass, walleye or catfish just looking forward to learning where and how to catch on Stockton from the bank.

Welcome to the Ozarks.

Wind blown banks this fall with shad type baits will usually get some white bass.

Other guys can give you some exact places I am sure.

Thanks Tom. Both freshwater fishing and learning a new area can be overwhelming when at 52 years of age I have always fished saltwater. I appreciate your response.

Try wind blown flats and points around CC in Oct. and Nov. For whites. Rooster tails, jerk baits, jigs ect.

You can park on the east side of the dam and use plastic worms and jigs along the rip rap for bass.

Highpoint is good bank fishing too

In the springtime there is a great white bass run in the little sac river and there is lots of bank access to fish.

Also you can catch several crappie and whites in the little sac during the fall as well.

I know a half dozen guys that catch good catfish under the bridge at Aldrich .....

There are several fishing docks on the lake.  Crabtree Cove real close to Stockton has one.
