I see DOUBLE WHOPPERS for sale on a row end.  Not only do they have them, but they have the two colors I want, Loon and Powder.  Resolution to not purchase any tackle goes pffffftttttt - and I grab a Loon and a Powder.

I now have them, they will get used.

 

Agree on the Loon color (got one last week).

Instead of Powder, I went with Terminator (got it last week as well). up in the clear end of Beaver, they seem to like a splash of purple, so I thought perhaps the Terminator color will fare well. It's basically a Mouse color with some flashy purple.

Hahaha. Sorry. Didn't mean to poke to tackle bear. I'm just a sucker for anything that is smoke, white and purple colored. Not sure why that is because I have no ties to K-State nor TCU. Might be an "Ozark's" thing as YUM even has a plastics color called "Ozark Smoke" that is exactly the aforementioned kryptonite color. But that color never works on TR. Never.

You are right for sure.  I think every top water bait out there should have "Norman Flake" as one of their color options.

It's not the colors on the Terminator - It's the flashy graphics on the two buzzers :-)

Exactly. I also like a bit of chrome or hologram on my topwaters . Baits that have that "G- Finish" look to them. Another reason I love Spit'n Images as they have that hologram foil thing going on.

I too ended up buying a few at Cabela's! Threw them last weekend. Really disappointed. They do not seem to swim well, constantly rolling over in the water. They float, which is a near feature, but drag at anything but a really slow pace and they roll over. Not a single fish  - not even a blow up. That however, could be circumstantial, as almost all of my top water fish came on a Yellow Magic popper - they do not seem to be chasing like they were earlier in  the summer. Seems like they want to ambush instead.

Agreed - twice in the same day!

I rally like to have some "shiny" on top waters as well.

We have 101 days of being buddies until we have to not be nice for one day, then back to buddies - so let's make the most of it
