Daryk Campbell Sr Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Took my son out for a little bit. Went to a small creek. We got eaten up by the mosquitos. They just about won. We fished a little down from the honey hole we found a few weeks ago. Within 10 casts I had my first one on. It got off. I was using the Zarra Spook Jr again. I really like this lure. I caught a 17 incher and a 13 incher. No real blow ups, just a swirl. My son was fishing Dave's Ned Rig. He caught 3. He is really getting excited about going out. His were 8 inches, 12 inches and we did not measure the other one. We had many chasers. We went out about 6:15, quit just about 8. Not bad for less than 2 hours. Of course, all fish were released instantly. This is a small creek, and I really enjoy the time on it.
