I love mine also.  I take it everywhere and film everything.

Do you only shoot with the full case on it?  I bought "The Frame" because I heard it can take better shots when not in the case.  Obviously when you are on the water, the case is your only option.  I was also curious if you used a Floaty backdoor?  Also when in the case do you use anything to keep the lens cover dry (Rain X type of product)?

I always keep the case on, for the water and impact.  But I can imagine the quality is better.  I'm just afraid I'll break it.  I've watched my kids throw it in the air from a swimming pool and crash on the pool deck w/o hurting the camera (in the case).  I made my own float with a pool noodle and carabiner (it's on my phone but I'll post a pic shortly).  It'll keep the camera and the octopus mount I use afloat.  I haven't used anything yet.  Mostly b/c I'm afraid it'l damage the case.  But I might give the rain-x a try...I have to clean water spot from the camera pretty often.

Thanks guys for following my adventures.  Always makes my day to hear it!

So I have these pictures b/c I've been trying to get a blog post up about how I use my gopro....that's been a few weeks....I'm slacking!!14492365_1841042699457590_1033260748264176456_n.jpg14502809_1841042726124254_2165001884761177283_n.jpg14516490_1841042759457584_2660079125684590287_n.jpg14517582_1841042749457585_5540342693142198579_n.jpg

Sweet!  I have toyed around with a couple of mount options so far but haven't really settled on anything yet.  I think I am going to use a gooseneck mounted to one of the sticky mounts somewhere on the front of my kayak.  The over the shoulder shots or aerial shots can be done with the telescoping pole. The octopus mount is another interesting option that I may have to think of.

I like what you did with the pool noodle.  Always wondered what I would do if I dropped it in the water!

GoPro wants 19.99 for a piece of foam glued to a waterproof backdoor. I just bought a cheap waterproof foam keychain and stuck it on my extra backdoor.  Only bummer is I cannot see my screen now!

I am going to have to rig up one of those noodle floats. My buddy has a GoPro hero 4 silver that I would like to use on the motor cowling when we fish together, but he is afraid of the suction mount popping loose and losing his camera in the river. That floaty setup should ease his worries.

I have the same flotation device. Easy to make, cheap to replace.

I leave for the Gasconade for a weekend float on Friday so I am hoping to have some actual fishing pictures after the weekend (god willing). I was hoping I could capture some great fall shots on the water but it doesn't look like we will be seeing much color this weekend.

Over the weekend I brought along my GoPro to the pumpkin patch in case something was worth getting on camera.  Of course my little one happily obliged the opportunity to be photogenic.

I just grabbed some shots out of a short video of her and used my favorite quick app (Snapseed) to blur out the rednecks to the best of my ability.  All of the camera settings were set to Auto (idiotproof!)

Here is another one I took the week after I bought the camera.  She may be little but she sure knows when I need another beer!

Settings (White Balance: 6500k, GoPro Color:on, Sharpness: Medium) No after shot editing needed :D
