Plastic_worm Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Orvis had a photo contest called "20 Days in September" going on all month. It was a fun challenge to get out an fly fish as much as possible. I was able to get all 20 days in and made a short fun video of the adventure. I caught bream, carp, bass, and a snapping turtle. I didn't fish hard and had fun trying to get some cool photographs....you can see those here: http://looknfishy.blogspot.com/2016/09/orvis-20-days-in-september-contest.html trythisonemv, dan hufferd, Greasy B and 2 others 5 YT - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5T_lKUH3gVkxSraJWUVzoQ FB - https://www.facebook.com/looknfishy Blog - http://looknfishy.blogspot.com/ IG - https://www.instagram.com/looknfishy/

BilletHead Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Nice job plastic worm. I second Chief well done but I think he has been smoking too many peas cuz I think those are grass carp and I like grass carp on the end of my fly line BilletHead Plastic_worm 1 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" Plastic_worm Posted October 2, 2016 Author Posted October 2, 2016 Thanks! Yes, those are grass carp. They were introduced to control vegetation. More importantly they are so much fun to catch on the fly. The big one in the clip took 2 days to get an eat and 9 mins to land! BilletHead Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Your good Chief just blame it on the peas. Chief Grey Bear Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Well it was my bad. I just didn't look at the body and gave a quick glance at the head. I quickly noticed the eye placement and went on about my business. Quick ID's don't always work. LOL!
