As harvest is winding down for me here at the farm, I'm getting ready to fish more!  Since harvest is ending earlier I'm thinking bout doing an overnight float before it gets colder!  Anybody else got any similar plans this fall!

There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!

Might get a couple in during November, then the usual 3-4 day trip in January. 11pt & Current in November. Current in January. Did Pulltite to Round Spring two weeks ago. Fishing was poor (usually is) but was a nice family float.

I was fortunate to do three overnighters in the last 6 weeks, some of the best smallmouth fishing I ever experienced in the Ozarks. A vacation, a golf weekend, deer hunting then our annual White River trip gobbles up everything until December. If the weather gets bad enough in I might work in trip to Niangua before the end of the year.

I'm on vacation from Nov. 5th thru the 13th  Will be doing at least an overnighter on the upper Current during that time.

Will be deer hunting the bad weather days and fishing the better ones.

Man I'd love to but I just can't bring myself to be away fro. Home for a night these days. Our little guy is turning 1 next weekend. I've yet to spend a night away from him. My wife was out of the country on business for a couple nights a few weeks ago, and the first weekend in November she is going to see her grandparents. I'm going to go see a friend whose family bought the Thomas Reservoir down in Hazen. It's a big duck club and I'm overdue for a trip. Should be a good crappie/bass weekend. But it's my first nights away from my son since he was born. Having mixed emotions.

LR, next time you're in NWA the invitation to float still stands. Put in or take out right in the back yard. It gets good here when it gets cold.

Cut the cord man. I appreciate you being all about your family, but a few nights away scattered throughout the year don't make you a deadbeat Dad. Millions of Americans spend almost every night away from their children working 2 nd or 3 rd shift. I'm glad you don't have to do that.

it sounds like your son is going to be a focal point of your life. That's a good thing. I guess we shouldn't count on you for jigfest.
