LittleRedFisherman Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 As harvest is winding down for me here at the farm, I'm getting ready to fish more! Since harvest is ending earlier I'm thinking bout doing an overnight float before it gets colder! Anybody else got any similar plans this fall! Bret There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
Pat Magee Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 I just did one. Would love to get one more in! Where are you planning on going?
LittleRedFisherman Posted October 21, 2016 Author Posted October 21, 2016 Eleven point or upper current maybe? grizwilson 1 There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
Gavin Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Might get a couple in during November, then the usual 3-4 day trip in January. 11pt & Current in November. Current in January. Did Pulltite to Round Spring two weeks ago. Fishing was poor (usually is) but was a nice family float. LittleRedFisherman 1
Greasy B Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 I was fortunate to do three overnighters in the last 6 weeks, some of the best smallmouth fishing I ever experienced in the Ozarks. A vacation, a golf weekend, deer hunting then our annual White River trip gobbles up everything until December. If the weather gets bad enough in I might work in trip to Niangua before the end of the year. Smallie Seeker Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 I'm on vacation from Nov. 5th thru the 13th Will be doing at least an overnighter on the upper Current during that time. Will be deer hunting the bad weather days and fishing the better ones.
hoglaw Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Man I'd love to but I just can't bring myself to be away fro. Home for a night these days. Our little guy is turning 1 next weekend. I've yet to spend a night away from him. My wife was out of the country on business for a couple nights a few weeks ago, and the first weekend in November she is going to see her grandparents. I'm going to go see a friend whose family bought the Thomas Reservoir down in Hazen. It's a big duck club and I'm overdue for a trip. Should be a good crappie/bass weekend. But it's my first nights away from my son since he was born. Having mixed emotions. LR, next time you're in NWA the invitation to float still stands. Put in or take out right in the back yard. It gets good here when it gets cold.

Millions of Americans spend almost every night away from their children working 2 nd or 3 rd shift. I'm glad you don't have to do that. it sounds like your son is going to be a focal point of your life. That's a good thing. I guess we shouldn't count on you for jigfest.
