I was meaning to ask earlier in the year but kept forgetting - is running around the lake with the hood cover on your motor part of the "cool" deal now too?  Probably couldn't even count the number of boats that I saw doing this and they all had the Power Poles and appropriate wardrobe accessories so...............  Again, just wondering.  As I don't have a cowling cover for my G2, I guess I can never hope to catch up even if I were to acquire poles and buffs and jerseys and........

The motor needs to be able to breathe.  If the cover is vented it's ok I guess, but having the fresh air vents on the cowling blocked is a bad idea.

So, I am taking my wife up fishing on the 18th and am trying to avoid the take off at 8 am.  I don't know anything about tournaments other than I don't like getting tied up with them when they are taking off or taking out.  Does anyone know what ramp they will be using that morning?

Cool. I didn't know there was a ramp at the course. That puts me in the clear at Larry Gale. Thank you.

I have no Power Poles, jersey or buff but I do have a vented hood cover on our motor. Fishing docks as much as we do, it's inevitable that you're gonna bump your motor on them and scratch it up.

Ahhh. Never thought of that!  The air flow thing is what got my attention initially. Never mind........

Purely a protective measure for us. Just make sure you get the vented one from Tuff Skinz. They do a great job and are very personable to deal with.
