Alex Heitman Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 We fished Friday and couldn't get anything really besides a few on crankbaits and spinnerbaits in the howling wind. We caught most of the fish on bottom baits in the 15ft range around wood. Hard to fish with 30 mph winds. Saturday and Sunday we caught a few on crankbaits but not enough to keep throwing them. We caught most of the fish again on bottom baits. We had a really good day Saturday and had around 12 keepers with some big fat spots, LM, and smallmouth. We probably had around 18 lbs with our best 5 and a 6lb LM. Water temp was 60-63. The moving baits should pick up with the stable weather and lower temps this week. Coming back on after dinner on Thursday for the weekend. JestersHK, Hammer time, Quillback and 8 others 11
merc1997 Bo Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 some really nice bass! nothing like dealing with 30 mph winds. those are the days one wishes for a chunk and wind bite, seems to never work out that way. bo Alex Heitman 1
Nitro 750 Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Nice fish, sounds like a good trip, thanks for the report.
MOBass Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 I am heading down Friday. I don't see any deals hot enough in the black friday ads to go out and be trampled and I am tired of politics. I figure I'll start with moving stuff and slow down if I can't make them eat. Donna G and Alex Heitman 2
Champ188 Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Donna and I will be there this weekend, too. Definitely gonna spend Saturday on the lower end and maybe Sunday, too. Hopefully Alex won't have all of my spots covered up. Donna G, Codywskeeter1521 and Alex Heitman 3
m&m Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Alex, very healthy looking fish from the dam area. Mike Alex Heitman 1
Bass Enforcer Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 I was able to get down on Monday and Tuesday. Fished a few hours each day but I wasn't able to get out too early. I mainly Drop shotted and spooned. I Had several keepers largest being about 3.5 to 4lbs. Primarily fished main lake points and creek arms. Docks came into play also. The docks didn't seem to have many out in front of them. We mostly found them in the slips 30 to 40 fow and on the bottom. Good luck to all and be careful out there. big c, magicwormman, Quillback and 3 others 6
Champ188 Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Nice one, Enforcer. Glad you got out and got your string stretched. crazy4fishin and Codywskeeter1521 2
