m&m Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 I finally got out for a couple of hours today. Put in at Moonshine about 1:30pm and was heading to Beardsley but remembered that there are no fish in there so I went past the State Park Marina and fished a couple of main lake points on the east side of the lake. I was trying out my new jerk bait rod (gloomis E6X series 782c MBR - sweet) and caught 3 short LMs on a sinking jerk bait. All three hit when the lure was stationary. All were in <10 fow. Only stayed out a couple of hours and then the temperature really began to fall. By the way the water temp was 58.9 to 59.4. Saw a couple of boats running and a couple of fisherman on other points. Because the lake is low, I could see a number of lures stuck in trees that are usually submerged. I saw 2 spinner baits, 3 shakey heads and a lizard but they were just out of reach. All in all it felt good to finally get back on the water if only for a couple of hours. Mike Sore Thumbs, merc1997 Bo, Bassmod and 7 others 10
96 CHAMP Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 Sounds good Mike, thanks for the info, likewise a buddy and I are planning a 3 day trip next weekend and am looking forward to just getting out. Hard to believe the water is still up that high. Global warming I reckon. Thanks
