like i said before, i am tired of the insulting remarks, pretty much saying that i do not catch what i reported, and i do not have to tell anyone anything about how to catch bass.  i will compliment those that post and leave it at that.  and just for your info, we have been catching the heck out of them all fall and winter.  the video that was mentioned was taken at the time when 13 lbs. won the big tournament held at that time.

kind of the same old thing, the actions of a few ruin it for everyone.  hope you get out on the days that are fit to and enjoy winter fishing.

Bo, I apologize if that came off as offensive.  That was not what I meant at all.  I just meant that you seem to examine conditions before you decide to put your boat on the water.  Most reports I've seen on here have been that the conditions are tough right now.  My assumption, based on what you've posted in the past, is that you're waiting for conditions to improve before squeezing in some time on the water.

I certainly appreciate the information you've provided on this forum, and have bought and use your products.  I would not have said anything that was meant to offend you.  I apologize for the misunderstanding.

no, i did not take your post as being offensive.  yes, i do somewhat choose better days to go fishing.  right now, right after these fronts, and with several days of no sunshine, it really scatters the bait fish and can make conditions to catch bass not the best.  however, right now the bass really have the feed bag on and even on the not so good days, it is fairly common to catch 6 to 8 keepers.  we are not up on the bank fishing.  i will say that.

i commented to your post because it afforded to explain why i have quit putting up posts on fishing trips.  i will say that i do not get to pick and choose days to fish on fridays as that is linda's day to fish and i get here out unless it is too cold.

get out when you can right now and fish everyday that is tolerable.  the catching is just about as good as it gets anytime of the year.  the bass are not everywhere and it takes time to go looking for them, but they are really bunched up.

As a big fan of not only your insightful fishing reports but also your lure products, I would hate to see you driven away by the few uninformed and uneducated morons that occasionally litter up the forum.  I've gotten dragged into a couple of online insult battles myself (one on here in fact) and it's crazy how much it can effect you emotionally to get into an invisible spittin' contest with someone you don't even now.  No matter how rational one might be (or irrational depending on which side of the argument) it's near impossible to not try and defend yourself and that usually just makes it worse.

It's as though you've been attacked personally and, I guess when you get right down to it, you have.  I know I've been told many times before, "I don't know why you let it bother you." or, "Why can't you just let it go and move on." but it just ain't that easy sometimes.

Nonetheless, losing your expertise and input would certainly be a blow and a loss to those of us that really look forward to hearing your perspective and how you go about finding and catching fish.  While I greatly enjoy pretty much everything that this site has to offer, there are a handful of guys that really stand out and you're one of them.  I read everyone's posts but when I see something that was put up by you, Bill Babler, Champ 188, Wrench, Plug, Alex and a couple of others I definitely perk up and pay attention, often reading each one numerous times and even returning to them to review at certain times of the year.

If walking away is what you ultimately choose to do, I completely understand - no one should have to defend themselves for only trying to help others.  However, from a purely selfish perspective, I would hate to see it and all of us would be significantly diminished because of it.

Thanks for all of your great contributions and for producing some of the finest fishing lures that I've ever used.

Here's wishing a most Merry Christmas to you and Linda.
