That is so funny, I laughed so hard my stomach hurts. Lol I'll just keep my 300 and 400 series to myself, take em out and look at em then put back. Great balsa bait, are they made anymore abkeenan?

Cedar. And yes. But like everything else, seemingly, the old ones are different.

Gotcha, haven't seen any at the stores or heard of anybody mention ever that I can remember.

They were hot bait in mid-90's and we cow killed em, mostly 300 series in Tennessee shad.

TW still carries them. 300 & 400 at least. I liked the old RCs. Back before the square bill craze.

Yep. I only have the old ones from the early 90 to mid 90s.

Dave answered that for you. I like them because they are silent. Fishing ultra clear water you don't always need a noise making machine like most plastic cranks produced these days.

On the lower end during jigging I've hooked a couple Hellbenders and after bringing them up both had about a 3 foot length of heavy leader attached to the back eyelet and a Crappie bait of some sort attached. They must use the Hellbender to achieve the the deep depth for the suspended Crappies in the Summer. Interesting idea and must be common!

Looking for lures on Pomme is always interesting.  Occasionally you find a wiggle wart, flicker shad,  shad rap etc.  that looks like it was attacked with an ice pick, courtesy of a muskie surprising a bass or walleye fisherman.  They make for interesting display pieces, always said I would reuse them but seem to end up giving them away or tossing them in a box.

So here are all the lures he found in two days. Pretty cool.  He's far more disciplined than I am. I can't take that much time away from fishing.

What I am taking away from this post is that all of these lures are crank-baits with two treble hooks and I should throw something else to avoid losing my bait.
