mzrealfish Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Good evening everyone, I'm looking for some feedback on what type of dog life jacket to purchase. I'm not sure which forum to post this in so I apologize for placing it in general forum. I have a new canoe partner. His name is Rory. Another rescue dog for me. He is a 73 lb. Blue Heeler/Husky mix. Anyone with input is welcome to respond or email me at mzrealchef1@gmail.com. Thanks a ton, Mark Kelroy and Daryk Campbell Sr 2
fishinwrench Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Rory looks like he could swim just fine. Good looking river hound. mzrealfish 1
mzrealfish Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 He's definitely a swimmer. My wife won't let me take him with me if he doesn't have a vest...doh! Figured if I'm going to buy 1 it might as well be a "recommended" 1. My fantasy football winnings are coming in handy.
Kelroy Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I like the Outward Hound PupSaver series. The extra floatation in the neck closure helps keep their nose out of the water if they tire themselves out, and the carry handles on the back make it much easier to haul a wet, flailing dog back into the boat. mzrealfish 1

mzrealfish Posted January 9, 2017 Author Posted January 9, 2017 Got Rory's jacket today. He loves it. Haven't tested it in water yet. Too cold. Thanks for the feedback Deadstream and Kelroy 2
